Dianne Tyers

Dianne Tyers has twenty-eight years of experience in the education sector in multiple countries (Canada, U.S.A., Australia, Japan, South Korea, China, United Arab Emirates). She has held teaching, institutional management, regional management, training, program development, and program evaluation positions with public and private sector educational organizations. In 2001, Dianne founded Advance Consulting for Education, Inc. to provide practical, knowledge-based solutions for education institutions, professional associations, non-profit organizations and for-profit education businesses. Her areas of expertise include program review and accreditation, research and policy development, educational technology evaluation, curriculum and assessment design, and teacher education.
Through ACE Dianne supports small non-profit community-based projects designed to build English language education capacity and English language capacity in developing countries around the world including Bolivia, Colombia, Peru and Rwanda.

Dianne is a Fellow of the Business Excellence Institute, a member of Lead5050 for women in international education, a member of The Academy of International Business, and part of the Editorial Board for the International Journal of Excellence in Smart Learning.

Dianne completed her PhD at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She has an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada and a Master’s of Arts from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.

Dianne holds both Canadian and British citizenship.

Michael Gamerl

Michael Gamerl is a veteran in the education industry with more than two decades of experience in areas including college readiness, assessment and admissions. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California Irvine and a Master’s in Economics from The London School of Economics. He was an Adjunct Professor of Economics at the University of Redlands Business School for both the undergrad and MBA programs.

While with The Princeton Review, Michael was Vice President in charge of Business Development and International Licensing. He co-created The Princeton Review’s International College Admission Program and has conducted professional development and training for all facets of US College Admissions. He has personally helped hundreds of students get accepted to the most selective schools in the world. In the US, he has worked with schools, districts, county offices of education and universities both private and public.

Michael was instrumental in the execution of a California State grant to provide preparation for under-served students seeking college admission. The program he managed was the largest and most successful in the State. He oversaw educational partnerships with many organizations such as the National Football League, the US Green Building Council and Hewlett-Packard among others.

Michael’s expertise in education has taken him to five continents and 24 countries. He spent nearly two years researching education in China for a new business opportunity to help Chinese students looking to go abroad for school. Michael was also a Subject Matter Expert in Education for the UAE’s Sheik Kalifa Government Excellence Program for two cycles and has been an assessor for the Abu Dhabi Government Excellence Program as well. He has been a keynote speaker on College Readiness and college admissions and has also hosted hundreds of seminars and workshops for students and parents throughout the world.

Michael is a member of the Business Excellence Institute and is on the advisory committee for a private non-secular secondary school. He also volunteers his time working with AVID students looking to improve their college readiness. Born in Japan, Michael is a US citizen living in Southern California.
